A new approach
ANIMANATURA originates from the need to find a home for all wild and exotic animals that cannot be released into the wild anymore and for those which are victims of mistreatment, illegal trafficking, or part of an endangered species protection program.
At the Sanctuary these animals have finally found an appropriate environment in which they can regain their typical habits of their species and at the same time visitors can experience new ways of interacting with nature.

Surrounded by lush greenery and woods, in the heart of Maremma, far from the hustle and bustle of the city. The Sanctuary is the perfect place to appreciate the magical benefits of nature. A special place inhabited by extraordinary animals where everyone can experience “self-discovery” simply through embracing the breathtaking surrounding beauty.

LAV and ANIMANATURA
Rescuing animal victims of mankind, is the first step taken on a very long and tough journey.
LAV is dedicated to a never ending fight to ensure a better life for these animals, while Animanatura provides them with habitats that allow them to do what they were meant to do, wander, retreat, dig, build burrows and to create bonds with other individuals, leaving behind the stereotypical behaviour that was induced by captivity.

The small number of sanctuaries around the world has led Animanatura to extend its commitment beyond national borders, joining forces and collaborating with the main international associations that have led battles and fought for the animals and they have always been on their side.
It is also thanks to these associations that Animanatura will become the home for many animals in need.
